Animals By Type

This section has individual pages for each animal variation produced by Playmobil. They are arranged by scientific taxonomy - but with more common language. The Chordata level has been omitted for simplification, and some classifications combined - such as Artiodactyla and Perissodactyla into Hoofed Animals. So it is not scientifically correct, but hopefully still usable.

If you are looking for one specific animal it may be faster to first look at the Animal List where all are in alphabetical order. You can then click on the name to move to the individual page. You can click on the part number to go to the PlaymoDB page for that part. If you have a fast connection you can click on the Images link at the bottom of any page to go to a visual directory of every image on the site.

Here is a chart of how many new animals have been introduced each year. It is current through the announced releases for January 2018.

Including all shape and color variations, and announced releases, there are currently 1358 different animals.

2012 and 2015 had the most new animals and variations ever, 103.
